Temporary traffic arrangements in Kilpilahti during the Neste major turnaround
Due to the Neste 2024 turnaround, there are temporary traffic arrangements in the Kilpilahti area. The temporary arrangements begin on April 16th and will continue until mid-May. The purpose of these temporary traffic arrangements is to ensure that traffic flows smoothly as traffic volumes will increase considerably during the turnaround.
Traffic to the Neste refinery via the highway from the direction of Porvoo
The traffic from the direction of Porvoo on highway VT7 will be directed to use the Nesteentie exit (map 1).
During the morning rush hours between 05:00 and 09:00, the traffic on Nesteentie between Nybyntie and Kulloonlahdentie will be one-way in the highway-refinery direction (map 3). During the morning rush hours, traffic from the Neste refinery in the direction of Porvoo will be temporarily directed via Kilpilahdentie. Traffic controllers will ensure smooth traffic.
Traffic to the Neste refinery via the highway from the direction of Helsinki
The traffic from the direction of Helsinki on the VT7 highway will be directed to use exit 58A (map 2). Contractors arriving at the turnaround will then continue south along Kilpilahdentie toward the contractor parking area.
Traffic to the Neste refinery from road MT170 Uusi Porvoontie/Helsingintie or from the road MT148 Öljytie/Nesteentie
The traffic from road 170, Uusi Porvoontie/Helsingintie, and from road 148, Öjytie/Nesteentie, will be directed to use the Nesteentie exit (map 1). The road connection from MT170 Uusi Porvoontie/Helsingintie over the bridge to Kilpilahdentie in the direction to the refinery will be closed during the major turnaround (map 2)..
Contractor parking
Contractors participating in the turnaround will park their passenger cars in the TA terminal parking area on Kilpilahdentie. The turnaround access permit office is also located at the TA terminal. There are signs pointing to the parking area on both Nesteentie and Kilpilahdentie. Non-stop shuttle bus transportation between the parking area and the turnaround site will be arranged for the contractors.
